Grainger 40 This new millennium design and construction technique will demonstrate the tremendous improvements that have been made in catamaran design while maintaining a top of the range, luxury fit out. 'On the Double' has four cabins - a queen size berth in each of the aft cabins and two doubles forward. There is an additional single berth in the forward port cabin. She has two central bathrooms - one in the each hull. Her galley is up in the saloon (very nice for the charter chef as they are not confined in a hull for their holiday!). The galley is very well laid out with plenty of storage, 110 litre refrigerator and 110 litre freezer, top quality cooktop, oven and microwave. Composite materials used in her construction provide excellent insulation in her roof liner to keep the boat as comfortable as possible - even in the warmer months.
Her saloon is very comfortable and spacious. She has plenty of seating around her beautiful huon pine and Mackay cedar saloon table. Her upholstery is a stylish blue to match the galley bench tops. Her entertainment system boasts a Bose DVD player with 20 inch flat LCD screen, CD player and sound system. The navigation station is fitted with the latest instrumentation. She will have VHF radio and Seaphone - a feature that is rare in the Whitsundays but gives you peace of mind in being able to contact us even when out of VHF or mobile range. The saloon opens out onto the cockpit which provides generous seating, a cockpit table, an additional 240 litre self draining, fan forced refrigerated ice box and a very large barbeque. There is ample shade in the cockpit (a must in the tropics!). She has two steering consoles to provide comfort and ease of handling. Up forward her foredeck provides plenty of area to relax with generous trampolines to complement the expansive solid foredeck. Safety lines run her entire perimeter to ensure that everyone can relax even if there are children on board. Her fully battened mainsail is on a lazyjack system with upward facing sailbag to complement her furling headsail. She has an electric windlass to assist with her anchor management. This boat has been specifically designed for charter in the Whitsundays. Her design includes well thought-out features to make that little bit of extra difference. These features include ergonomically designed seating, large, sliding windows allowing plenty of air flow - even in the low season when rain is a concern. All of the windows have fly screens. All cabins and bathrooms have fans. There is 6'7" of headroom throughout the cabins and the majority of the boat - none being less than 6'2".
